Using Vulpi
What is Vulpi?
Vulpi is a conversation simulator for language learners. Instead of flashcards and translation drills, you have real conversations with an AI tutor that responds the way a person would. Tell it you’re going to Rome next month and you’ll practice ordering food, asking for directions, and small talk with your host, until it feels easy.How is this different from other language apps?
Most apps teach you to translate. You see a word in English, you tap the matching word in another language. That builds one skill: translation. Vulpi builds a different one: responding. Every session is a back-and-forth conversation, in the language, that reacts to what you actually say. The goal isn’t to score 100% on a quiz. It’s to keep a conversation going.Which languages can I learn?
We’re launching with a small set of high-demand languages so we can do each one really well. The full list is shown during onboarding and inside the app. We add new languages as soon as they meet our quality bar, not before.Do I need to speak out loud?
Yes, eventually. Most conversation practice happens through speech, with pronunciation feedback built in. You can also type if you’re somewhere quiet, and Vulpi will keep the conversation going either way.How long should I practice each day?
Ten to fifteen minutes a day, every day, beats two hours on a Sunday. The app sizes each session to your goal so you can finish in the time you actually have, not the time you wish you had.Will Vulpi work offline?
Conversations need a connection so the tutor can respond in real time. Lightweight offline review (vocabulary, transcripts of past conversations) is on the roadmap.
Account management
How do I change my email address?
Open Settings → Accountfrom inside the app and update your email. If you signed up with Google, your email is managed by your Google account and we’ll always use the primary address on file there.How do I reset my progress or start a course over?
Open Settings → Learning, choose the course you want to reset, and tap Reset progress. This is permanent. Your stats and unlocked content for that course will be cleared.I can’t sign in to my account.
If you signed up with email, try resetting your password from the sign-in screen. If you signed up with Google, make sure you’re signed in to the correct Google account in your browser. Still stuck? You can request account deletion or a copy of your personal data at any time by emailing info@blackseaconsulting.ca with the subject line “Privacy request”. We’ll respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (typically 30 days). Deletion is permanent and will end any active subscription.What should I do if I think my account was compromised?
Change your password (or your Google account password) immediately, sign out of all devices from Settings → Security, and email us at info@blackseaconsulting.ca with the subject “Security”. We’ll investigate, lock the account if needed, and let you know what we find.
Subscription & payments
What does Vulpi include?
One subscription, full access. Every conversation type, every language we support, the AI tutor, pronunciation feedback, personalized review, and everything we ship while you’re subscribed. No tiers, no add-ons, no ads.How does the free trial work?
New subscribers get a 7-day free trialwith full access. We ask for a payment method up front so your subscription starts cleanly when the trial ends. Cancel any time before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.How much does Vulpi cost?
Two plans. Annual at US $89.99 per year (works out to about $1.73 a week, our best value) or Weekly at US $9.99 per week. Prices are shown at checkout, with taxes added where they apply.How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings → Manage subscription and tap Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access to everything you’ve paid for until then. If you can’t find the option, email info@blackseaconsulting.ca and we’ll handle it.Do you offer refunds?
All subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. Canceling stops future charges but doesn’t refund what’s already been paid. The full policy lives in our Terms of Service. Nothing in our policy limits non-waivable consumer rights (e.g. Quebec, EU, UK) where those rights apply.My payment failed. What now?
We’ll retry the charge automatically for a few days. In the meantime, you can update your payment method at Settings → Manage subscription. If we can’t collect the payment, your access will be paused until the next successful charge.
